Cranes Q1 net at Rs 3.6 cr

Cranes Software International Ltd., a scientific and engineering software solutions provider, posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 3.62 crore in the April-June quarter of 2004, up 74 percent over the Rs 2.08 crore in the same previous-year quarter. Consolidated net sales increased by 62 percent to Rs 13.54 crore against Rs 8.36 crore. On a stand-alone basis, CSIL's net sales grew by 65 percent to Rs 11.31 crore against Rs 6.83 crore, while net profit increase by 91 percent to Rs 3.67 crore against Rs 1.92 crore. "We have made encouraging progress across our business segments, extending our software products with several new introductions developed by leveraging our R&D competencies effectively," a Cranes statement quoted company managing director Asif Khader as saying.
